Baby Boomers and the Project-Based Workforce | Workstreamer Blog
This is a short but interesting blog article about another article.
Harvard Business Publishing’s Tammy Erickson writes about the “project-based workforce.”
Personally, I find the concept of “working forever” interesting, because I’ve seen many people retire and then drop dead.
I’m also intrigued by the concept of “cyclical work,” taking part in a work project, then taking some time off, and then working on something else.
I’m resisting the impulse to say “cool.”
Also–there’s a lot to be said for working as long as one can, and it’s not just about money.
I believe that working at something we are passionate about gives us purpose, because we continue being involved in society, keeping work and social relationships active, and using our brains for problem solving.
Both articles are interesting, and I hope you get a chance to read them both.

Great article B..Talet in the workforce is declining, you got new ones coming in all the time and you just can’t explain to them that real life expierences are not something you can read about. My expierence was that I got an injury that took me from my job and like I told the general manager at that time you just can’t pack in some 20 odd years into a month or two,the new ones make so many mistakes until they learn the trade,if possible I like the aged and mature in the workforce,I’m not saying the young ones can’t learn because they can,but real life is different from reading a book and it was so hard to convince them of that vs and older man or woman. I liked the article because it touched on this kind of know how,it is something you can not buy and for the most part can not read about. Good job B.,,

Good information about ways to work in retirement that fit boomer needs. It’s great to have flexible options.
