David Letterman in a rare acting role on Mork & Mindy
Mork & Mindy was on television between 1978-1982.
It was never a favorite of mine–too silly–but this clip has includes David Letterman and Tom Poston.

Carol Burnett – Q & A (Questions & Answers) Tarzan Yell
I’ve been looking for a Carol Burnett Tarzan Yell for a long time.
This video runs over five minutes, and Carol’s yell is right at the end.

Here’s my next venture into anime!
A colleague told me about this video–she and her children love it.
I Love Lucy Vitameatavegamin
One of my earliest memories is watching “I Love Lucy” on our black and white television.
This is classic.
Suppose somebody does you wrong.
It’s happened to all of us, I’m sure, that we have considered revenge at one time or another.
Well, it’s happened to me, one more time.
Somebody has done me wrong, because I had the gall to say “no thanks.”
With apparent joy, this person is laughing at me, right this very minute.
From time to time, this thought brings anger to the boiling point within my heart and soul, and I consider revenge.
But to what end?
My action will inevitably bring a reaction within the other person, and the whole sorry business will continue, like a virus that just won’t stop spreading inside of us both.
I ask myself, at these times when the itch for revenge is at its height, what’s the point of prolonging contact with a person I find distasteful?
Do I want to have more contact with this person, or do I let him crow with victory and get the hell away, as fast and as far away as I can get?
The voice inside of me, that is rarely wrong, urges me to get away.
And I have listened.
I shall not scratch this itch of revenge.
I’m just gone, as far away as I can get.
I grew up in the fifties, when black and white television ruled.
Ed Sullivan on Sunday nights, Howdy Doody (maybe in the afternoons, after school?), and two newspapers (one morning, one afternoon) that kept us updated on the news that wasn’t on t.v.
No CNN or MSNBC!
No cell phones, no internet, no video games.
I’m amazed by the world we live in these days, and I’m going to share some of my wonder with anyone who cares to read.
The past doesn’t interest me too much these days, because I’m fascinated by what’s happening now.
Aging Boomer Girl signing off, for now, from somewhere in the US.
